The National Confederation of Agricultural Producers of Congo is a non-profit, non-political and non-denominational association. CONAPAC's vision is to contribute to the advent of a "united, professional and prosperous peasant world". Its mission is to represent and defend, both nationally and internationally, the interests of Congolese agricultural producers to enable them to participate actively in society and to flourish.

The Centre de Production de Semences is a Congolese non-profit association. It was created in 2005 by the Centre Congolais de Culture, de Formation et de Développement (CECFOR).

It is in October 2015 that during the Workshop of all Congolese coaches in methodological support for the accompaniment of training centers in RBM (Result Oriented Management) and Leadership in Kisangani that the idea was born to create a network of coaches. The operational strategy was therefore materialized on January 08, 2016 by setting up the Congolese Coaches Network in Rapid Results Approach and Results-Based Management. 

The Association for the Defense of Patients' Rights was born from the observation that thousands of people die due to lack of access to quality health care, following complications induced by medicines (expired, falsified, bad quality, counterfeit, deteriorated, stolen or sold without authorization, medicines with unsuitable active ingredients, overdose, underdose, toxic excipients, etc.). It is committed to working for a true consideration of the right to health in the Democratic Republic of Congo with a patient-centered approach.

The National Union of Doctors is an organization of trade-union nature created by the doctors of the DRC on October 07, 1990. Its main objective is to organize and defend its members.

The Association of Artists and Artisans of Binza is a structure born from a nucleus of artists of the Site Météo in the commune of Ngaliema, a small group of artists having become aware of the need to organize themselves, after a report of the limits that presented the individuality in the production or the manufacture and the sale of their works or products of art and craft.

The NDOMBA Foundation is a non-profit association under Congolese law, born of the compassion and love its members have for orphaned children, so-called street children and women victims of violence and abuse. Its purpose is to support disadvantaged groups, particularly abandoned children and women victims of violence.

FUTURA Envir 4Ward is an association evolving in the field of the environment. It pursues the following objectives;

• Educate on the environment and sustainable development;
• Implementing Integrated Water Resources Management;
• Monitor and defend the environment (monitoring of waterways and soils and the surrounding environment);
• Provide efficient management of the production of goods and services in the field of environment and sanitation; etc.  
   

The Democratic Confederation of Labor is an interprofessional trade union organization, created on April 26, 1990 in Kinshasa by the constituent assembly of the executives, manual workers, agricultural workers, peasants and craftsmen gathered in the various federations in order to study, defend and promote their professional interests for their economic and social progress. The CDT has for object the study, the defense and the development of the material, moral and socio-professional interests as well as the social and economic progress of its members.

CDS is an institute linked to the University of Kinshasa which, in addition to its vocation as a basic research center, is involved in action research with a view to strengthening capacities and inducing sustainable development. One of its objectives, in relation to development, is to study the problems and social facts of local communities and to propose possible solutions.

POMUCO is a group of five organizations that are engaged throughout the DRC in the promotion of mutual insurance schemes that allow the poor to access quality health care at lower cost.

The CSC du Congo aims to promote social dialogue and the labor rights of precarious workers and the informal economy in Congo. It is one of the most powerful inter-professional confederations in the country, which allows it to act as an interlocutor with public authorities and other decision-making bodies to defend the economic and social demands of its members. Its actions range from denouncing the violation of union rights to training on union practices and political advocacy. It is part of the MOCC

The FMP is an umbrella organization of 5 organizations with nearly 39,000 members. Its mission is to defend and promote the rights and socio-economic interests of rural workers and the informal sector. It develops training, awareness and information activities throughout the country, as well as support for the socio-economic initiatives of grassroots groups. FMP works to increase the income of more than 150 groups (more than 1,850 individuals and households) through training in agro-breeding and beekeeping, as well as through technical and financial support. It also helps its members to improve their income by granting and supervising microcredits from their own funds.

COTRAF is a trade union with nearly 10,000 members from the formal and informal sectors, including tea farmers and tea factory workers. It includes unions in agriculture, livestock and construction, industry, banking, hotels, various private and public services, education, media and others. COTRAF has helped 800 households and 1,500 workers in the informal sector in the north of the country to improve their incomes, through the creation or strengthening of savings and credit banks, the creation of social bakeries, and appropriate training and coaching.

CEFOTRAR is a project initiated in 1987 with the Belgian Development Cooperation. It deals with the training of young people who have dropped out of school or who have left school prematurely. It offers more than 350 young people training in carpentry, masonry, welding, sewing, shoemaking and hairdressing and beauty care, which gives them, in the face of oversaturated agricultural jobs, other alternatives for access to the job market. After their training, CEFOTRAR accompanies the young people trained for a successful insertion in the world of work. It also works on its progressive self-financing.

RRA's vision is "A country where pensioners are respected, receive a decent pension and live in good conditions". In order to defend the rights and interests of Rwandan pensioners, RRA develops various strategies: advocacy, awareness raising, promotion of access to financial facilities and medical care, creation of income generating projects for the benefit of its members, legal assistance to pensioners, etc.

NSINDAGIZA ("accompany me" in english) has as its principle of action "intergenerational solidarity". Through their rich experience, the elderly are at the side of the young and the latter, through their strength and dynamism, accompany the elderly. It works for the adoption and effective implementation of policies and legal instruments, all for a dignified old age. NSINDAGIZA works for the creation and the solidity of the groups of assistance to the elderly. NSINDAGIZA works to ensure that the elderly also have a place in society and national development. It does important work in policy advocacy and lobbying. 

AMI is an organization founded by Laurien Ntezimana to continue the socio-economic and cultural work of his two friends Modeste and Innocent after their death. AMI is based in the South of the country where it is well known, but its activities are carried out in other provinces of the country. It also intervenes in the East of the Democratic Republic of Congo in partnership with local organizations. Very active in the field of conflict resolution and national reconciliation, AMI uses the "Good Power" approach to value man as a social being at the center of all development.

In its action for the benefit of young people without a diploma or other certificate, Solidarjob (solidarity and work) puts forward the values of work and solidarity. It starts from the principle that young people often have difficulties because they come from families without sufficient resources. It helps these young people to take charge of their lives so that they can in turn help their families. It teaches young people various trades, including hotel management, bakery, cooking and food, modern agriculture and animal husbandry for more production while protecting the environment. Based in the North of the country, Solidarjob has a particularity of taking care, within its means and in the context of the country, of street children for their reintegration in the dignified social life. 

COSYLI is one of the three trade union confederations in Rwanda. It was created in 1993 and groups 10 professional unions. It is very active in defending and promoting the rights and interests of workers, especially those in the informal economy. Its main strategies are awareness raising, training, legal assistance to workers and political advocacy.

The Agakura association was born from the ambition of its charismatic founder and coordinator, Brother Déo, to get children off the streets. Several centers are active in the country in order to allow young people in difficulty (street children, orphans, school drop-outs, family drop-outs) to learn a trade in different fields: pig breeding, artisanal tile making, market gardening, fish farming, etc. All projects are implemented with a view to sustainable development: the techniques used avoid soil erosion and are shared by development agents. The objective is to enable beneficiaries to launch their own income-generating activities, while respecting the environment.

ODAG Caritas Gitega is a church-based organization whose main objective is to improve the health of the population, but it also works on issues of rights and justice. In a global perspective of fighting against food insecurity, ODAG Caritas Gitega offers microcredits and develops cooperatives. It works with local committees, which allow it to remain in contact with the realities of the population, on the territory of 3 provinces. Thanks to the health mutuals it has developed, but also to its investment in various hospitals and health centers in the region, ODAG Caritas Gitega coordinates 16 local mutuals in the archdiocese of Gitega, which together have some 25,000 beneficiaries.

Munasa is a mutual health organization that aims to provide its members with quality health care at an affordable price, based on several strategies: awakening a spirit of mutual aid and solidarity, collaborating with health care providers in improving the quality of care, strengthening existing chapters, creating new chapters and strengthening the members' capacity for self-development

The CSB is a dome of about ten unions that works to improve the labor rights of Burundian employees. It offers them organizational support, but also legal support. They are active in various sectors, such as education, insurance, transport, coffee production, breweries, etc. 

CBY was founded in 1944 to contribute to education, health and integral human development. Motivated by the lack of facilities for the elderly in Burundi, the congregation has developed a program of psychosocial care for the elderly, which aims to combat loneliness, abuse and any discrimination based on age.

The Platform of Actors of Mutual Health Organisations in Burundi (PAMUSAB) is a framework for consultation and advocacy for Burundian mutualist organisations, in order to enable the Burundian population, and in particular the population of the informal and rural sectors, to have access to quality health care, by promoting the professionalisation and defence of mutual health organisations in Burundi.

It is an umbrella organization of trade unions and federations representing all professional sectors of the country's socio-economic life.  Created in 1995, it now has 35 trade unions and 5 functional federations representing the public and parapublic sectors, the private sector and the so-called informal economy.  It is the most representative with over 264,465 members.

 The FNTT was born in 2006 and is the result of the merger of two trade unions, including the Syndicat des Travailleurs des Transports and the Syndicat Professionnel des Taxi-Vélos du Burundi, as well as four associations. It has eighty-seven thousand four hundred and sixty-seven members (87,467) and its vision is to strengthen the organisations of workers in the informal economy with a view to making a more substantial contribution to the system and mechanisms of social dialogue within the framework of the decent work and social protection agenda.

APROSOC is a NGO of right born from the ashes of the Programme d'Appui aux Mutuelles de Santé en Afrique (PROMUSAF). Its aim is to inform and sensitise the population on social protection and mutuality, provide technical support to mutual health organisations, train and strengthen the capacities of mutualists, promote health and health education, set up a network of mutualist initiatives, carry out political/advocacy actions and nutrition

MTC-B is a non-political, non-union movement. It is based on workers from all socio-professional categories: civil servants, workers, office and commercial employees, domestic workers, the unemployed, workers in the informal sector and pensioners.

MDB is a non-profit mutual insurance company with variable capital governed by law n°2012-14 of 21 March 2012 on the regulation of decentralised financial systems in the Republic of Benin. Its mission is to improve the living conditions of economic actors at the grassroots through financial and non-financial services. Its purpose is to collect savings from its members and grant them credit, to foster solidarity and cooperation between members, and to promote the economic, social and cooperative education of its members.

SUO is an NGO that defends and promotes the social rights of women, girls, children and all socially disadvantaged people, It aims to promote, defend and safeguard the rights of children, young girls, women and all socially disadvantaged people, to improve the living conditions of abandoned, malnourished and underprivileged children, to assist orphanages, children's homes, maternity wards and health centres, to carry out actions aimed at raising awareness and educating these groups in the search for solutions to the problems that undermine them, and to work for the development and emancipation of Benin's young women.

The Afrika Obota Centre is a rural organisation that promotes collaboration between small-scale maize and cassava farmers. It offers training in micro-credit, as well as technical support, including food preservation. Other CAO activities include a radio programme, civic education training, a programme to promote local organisations, training for NGOs and grassroots groups, and support for income-generating activities.

CONSAMUS is a national platform of social mutualist organisations with legal personality. Its aim is to strengthen the Beninese mutualist movement for access to health care for the population, to promote access to social protection services for the population, to professionalise the management of mutuals and to strengthen their intervention capacities through their umbrella organisations.

AHISSINON AKON is an association for the development of women market vendors in Benin and has no religious or cultural affiliation. Its objective is to organise, unite and mobilise women market vendors in Benin, to defend the interests of women market vendors for their social development, to develop a spirit of solidarity among women market vendors in Benin, to make them aware of the important role they play in society, to create initiatives favourable to development, to set up income-generating projects, and to defend the interests of women in the markets

AS is an association of mutual health insurance companies in Borgou and Collines. Its purpose is to represent mutual health insurance companies and mutualists, particularly in defending their interests, to exchange and share ideas and experiences, to promote mutual aid and solidarity among mutual health insurance companies, to carry out joint actions and to organise them, to support mutual health insurance companies in improving the health of their members, to set up and manage the association's financial security tools, to participate in the promotion of social assistance by facilitating the integration of the indigent into the health risk coverage system.

CGTB is a federation of trade unions in the public administration, the private sector and the informal sector. Its aim is to defend and safeguard the material, moral and professional interests of workers on a permanent basis, to promote and develop the spirit of solidarity between member trade union organisations and federations, to contribute to the strengthening of trade union activity at national, regional and international level, to work for the promotion of employment with a view to the rapid advent of full employment, and to ensure the improvement of the living and working conditions of its members and of workers in general.

EMES is an organisation for social protection, vocational training and job creation for young people. Its objective is to extend social protection to actors in the informal economy and the rural world, including the destitute and other excluded social categories, to reduce the burden of social exclusion by promoting socio-economic initiatives that create income and jobs within the various components of the social economy, to promote vocational training, handicrafts and its components and literacy, to orientate young people towards vocational training and the trades of the future, to promote agriculture, livestock farming, fishing and handicrafts for the betterment of this category of workers.

CAPEJ is an NGO that contributes to the achievement of the MDGs and to the improvement of the socio-economic conditions of the poor populations of our country. Its objective is to support the populations in defending their interests at all levels, to help them take charge of their own problems and to solve them for a true self-development leading to their blossoming and their social well-being. It intervenes in the following areas: health, education and literacy, training and socio-cultural activities.

ADE is a group of people who share the same ideals and whose main concern is to accompany marginalised groups, victims of abuse and precarious living conditions in their process of integral development. Its vocation is to contribute to grassroots development. As such, it is involved in several areas of activity, the main ones being: rural development, the economy, health, social and education.

SYNAPROCEB is a trade union that defends workers in the hairdressing and beauty sector. It is affiliated to the CGTB. Its many awareness-raising and training initiatives focus on gender equality, literacy and environmental protection.

COSI is a confederation of workers from all sectors of socio-economic life and from all socio-professional categories grouped in trade unions and professional federations. Its aim is to defend the material, moral and professional interests of all male and female workers in all socio-professional categories, to create recognised services necessary for all affiliated members in all sectors and all socio-professional categories, to strengthen the capacities of its worker members in order to enable them to play their role properly in companies in the workplace through negotiation, advocacy and lobbying activities

Created in 1999, the Réseau d'Appui aux mutuelles de santé au Burkina Faso is a Burkinabe association recognised under the number 2000/166/MATS/SG/DGAT/DLPAP. Today, it is a national NGO whose mission is to promote and develop social mutuals in Burkina Faso. The network currently supports about thirty communal mutual health insurance schemes with more than 20,000 beneficiaries and three regional unions of mutuals. Its headquarters are located in Ouagadougou

The Confédération Nationale des Travailleurs du Burkina was created in 1949. As a trade union organisation, its mission is to work for the protection and promotion of labour, trade union and human rights. It has about 41,250 union members and carries out actions of legal assistance to members, labour education and trade union training, vocational training, and support to specific groups in IGAs.

MUFEDE-B is a savings and credit cooperative run mainly by women. It was founded in 1996 and currently has over 50,000 members. Its mission is to support the emergence and socio-economic development of its members by supporting the creation of income-generating activities and promoting women's entrepreneurship and leadership through adapted micro-credit and savings products.

The Groupe d'Action des Femmes pour la Relance Économique du Houet (Women's Action Group for the Economic Recovery of Houet) was created in 1995 by several women's associations in the province of Houet in Bobo-Dioulasso to help improve the living conditions of the province's women. One of the group's initiatives was the launch of a plastic bag recycling centre, but the group's member associations have a wide range of activities, including trade, catering, dyeing, soap-making and weaving. The GAFREH collective now has 117 associations with a membership of over 7,000 women. Its main aim is to raise awareness, bring together and train women to enable them to play a full role in the socio-economic development of the province. The organisation builds the capacity of these women, helps them to set up viable projects and find funding for them.

The Centre Écologique Albert Schweitzer du Burkina (CEAS Burkina) is a non-profit technical support association under Burkinabe law. Located in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, its activities began in 1982. The overall objective of CEAS Burkina is to contribute to the improvement of the living conditions of the population through actions that combine ecology and economy. Specifically: to contribute to the preservation of natural resources, to contribute to the resilience of populations to the effects of climate change, to facilitate access to water, hygiene and sanitation for disadvantaged populations, to promote agro-processing. Its target groups include local authorities, craftsmen, farmers and promoters of small economic units. CEAS Burkina operates in the 13 regions of Burkina Faso and in the sub-region. Its mission is to contribute to the sustainable development of Africa in general, and of Burkina Faso in particular, through the fight against poverty and the protection and sustainable management of the environment. The areas of intervention of CEAS Burkina are: Appropriate Technologies and Renewable Energies, Agro-ecology, Environment, Agro-processing and Sanitation

The Confédération Syndicale Burkinabè (CSB) was founded on 19 September 1974. It is made up of some twenty trade union federations and professional unions. The CSB has a revolutionary trade union line of class struggle. It fights alongside all workers throughout the world against all forms of exploitation of man by man for true democracy for the political, economic, social and cultural liberation of the peoples of the African continent and for the total unity of Africa.

The National Union of Cooperative Societies of Cotton Producers of Burkina Faso (UNPCB) was created on 15 April 1998 by the Provincial Unions of Cotton Producers (UPPC) that adhered to the statutes. The overall objective of the UNPCB is to improve the living conditions of all cotton producers in Burkina Faso. It has more than 9,000 cotton producers' cooperative societies, which bring together more than 350,000 farmers with more than 3 million beneficiaries. Its headquarters are located in Bobo-Dioulasso.

The Zood-Nooma Association for Development was founded on 6 September 1990 and became a national NGO in 1996. Its mission is to work for sustainable human development (agriculture, livestock, education, health, etc.) through the implementation of integrated, participatory programmes supported by all. It has more than 30,000 agricultural producers in 14 communes in the provinces of Bam, Sanmatenga and Kourweogo. Its headquarters are located in Kongoussi.

The Confédération Nationale des Travailleurs de Guinée (C.N.T.G.) is a national trade union centre in the Republic of Guinea. It was created in 1960. It brings together workers from all sectors of activity: public, mixed, private, informal and retired workers without distinction of nationality, sex, religion or political opinion. It has 18 trade union federations covering all of the country's professional sectors. Within the CNTB, there is one national union (domestic workers), eight regional unions, 33 prefectural unions and five communal unions (Conakry). The CNTG represents 71% of workers in Guinea, according to the 2014 evaluation of trade union organisations.

Fraternité Médicale Guinée (FMG) is a non-profit organisation. Its main vocation is to offer medical and social assistance to vulnerable sections of the population. It advocates for universal access to health care. FMG has a recognised position in the health sector in Guinea. It is well established and has demonstrated its capacity both in the management of associative health services and in the development of community health programmes. FMG is implementing several community health projects in Guinea. For the mutualist movement, FMG is responsible for the provision of health care, in particular the deployment of medical advisors, the strengthening of the quality of care offered to mutualists and the prevention of key diseases in the areas of intervention.

DynaM, which stands for ‘dynamique mutualiste’, is an NGO set up in 2000 to support micro health insurance schemes. The health mutuals supported by DynaM cover both front-line and referral services. One of DynaM's main strategies is to involve all service providers right from the start of the process of setting up the mutual health insurance schemes, so that everyone has the same level of information. The priority action is focused on social protection for disadvantaged rural populations. DynaM is part of a national platform of mutual societies, consulted by the Ministry of Health with a view to significantly improving the quality of healthcare and giving members access to basic healthcare. To this end, DynaM is helping to draw up a national framework governing mutual health insurance in Guinea, as well as updating the existing social protection system. It is also lobbying for the extension of the social security system to workers in the informal economy.

PPSOGUI - Network of Social Protection Promoters in Guinea
The PPSOGUI network was set up in 2013 to strengthen the structure of the mutual movement in Guinea. The aim is to help build a sound social protection policy that gives everyone access to affordable, quality healthcare. It brings together various civil society players (trade unions, mutual societies and others) involved in this field to organise themselves and work together to ensure that mutual societies become a reality in Guinea.

GRAIM was created in 1997 to support the emerging mutual health movement. It was recognised as an association under Senegalese law in 2002. The organisation carries out various actions and has established itself in the development field at the national level through different domains: social protection, development of organisations and institutions, environment, training and employment of youth and women, economic development, etc.

Action Jeunesse Environnement is a non-profit organisation established in 1998. It runs programmes in poverty alleviation, environmental education, health and capacity building. It is active in supporting training and employment for young people and the socio-economic empowerment of women through support for economic development initiatives.

The Confédération Nationale des Travailleurs du Sénégal was established in 1968 and is the largest trade union centre in terms of membership. Its vision is to promote the creation of opportunities for decent work and unemployment insurance for laid-off workers. It has 135,000 union members, organised in 14 regional branches. Its mission is to defend their interests and rights but also to participate in the development of the country. It is a member of the ITUC and has a seat in all the social security institutions and in decision-making bodies at national level.

Oyofal Paj is a network of more than forty community health mutuals in the three departments of the Kaolack region. The network supports the development of its member mutuals and carries out awareness-raising, capacity-building and advocacy activities for the extension of social protection, sustainable environmental management and youth employment.

The Union Nationale des Mutuelles de Santé Communautaires (UNAMUSC) of Senegal, established in December 2014, brings together 676 community health mutuals through 14 regional unions, 45 departmental unions for 800,000 members and 4 million beneficiaries. The community health mutuals are partners of the State of Senegal and are responsible for and manage the health insurance scheme under the CMU in Senegal.

Created in 1975, Enda Graf Sahel is an organisation that works with urban and rural populations using an action research approach (ARF). ENDA Graf Sahel's vision is to contribute to the advent of a society based on solidarity, respect for human dignity, social justice and cultural diversity, where resources are distributed equitably and managed in the interest of future generations. It is active in promoting the initiatives of civil society actors to ensure that their ideals are better taken into account in public policies and in strengthening their political, technical, economic and social capacities.

SADD is an organisation for the defence and promotion of human rights, in particular economic, social and cultural rights, including the right to decent work. It was created on 10-10-2001. It offers training and direct awareness-raising. It conducts advocacy and radio broadcasts on issues related to labour law and social protection.

SYNPHOT is a health trade union organisation created on 12 October 2005.  Its aim is to study, defend and promote the material, professional, social, economic and cultural interests of public sector health workers. It offers awareness raising and training. It carries out advocacy actions in relation to social protection
